Tuxedo Blowing in Tomorrow is the twenty-sixth and final episode of Gun X Sword. It first aired on the 27th of December, 2005. It is the third episode and the final episode of the final volume: Last Rites.
Synopsis[]
"And so, we left the island, and headed down a new path. It's funny, sometimes our journey seemed to take forever, and sometimes the days just flew by. But looking back, I know I loved every minute of it, probably cuz' he was right there with me. Even now, I believe he's the greatest hero this world has ever known." - Wendy
Van faces The Claw in the final battle. His allies and enemies clash as the world is about to end.
Plot[]
Van, struggling to land a blow on The Claw, is soon defeated in the midst of battle. However, after reminiscing of all the people that care for him, Van unleashes the full strength of his armor.
Joshua disconnects the launch sequence and disables the main power supply. Van delivers a final blow to the birthday armor, which destroys the base-of-operations. Van then walks into the armor and slashes The Claw to his death.
With The Claw dead and the plan ruined, the entire island starts to collapse.
After Michael reunites with Fasalina underground, Carmen departs after seeing them crushed by a boulder from above, leaving their fate unknown.
The protagonists all make it out alive, with the assistance of Kaiji, Catherine, and Manson. Van says his farewell, with mixed reactions from the others.
Years later, when Wendy helps a reporter write an article of her journey, Van unexpectedly crosses paths with her once again.

Van: "YAHHH!"
The Claw: "Oh Dear!"
Van: "Elena is dead! You took her from me! Now you wanna take her death away from me as well? How stupid do you think I am?! The dead don't come back to LIFE! I didn't come here to listen to this garbage, I came here to kill you, you Son-of-a-bitch!"
- The Claw explains how he will resurrect Elena and change the world, but Van isn't fooled.
Van: "JUST DIE YOU BASTARD!"
The Claw: "Ahh of course, so this is what an idiot looks like! A half wit! An imbecile! A lovable little fool!"
- The Claw mocks Van for his continued attacks.
Wendy: "We all like the world the way it is! Of course there's a lot of hardship, but it's still precious!"
Michael: "You don't see the larger picture! What do you know about the world anyway?"
Wendy: "I've gone out and seen it with my own eyes! I should be asking you that question! What else do you know except for what HE tells you?!"
- Wendy tries to reason with Michael, trying to stop him from returning to The Claw.
Joshua: "You know I've looked up to Ray since I was a kid. I was always in his shadow chasing along after him. But now, I don't know what I'm supposed to chase after."
Yukiko: "Why chase after anything? I got the feeling your brother would have preferred a quiet life. Even ordinary lives can have meaning. In fact, I think they can be even more meaningful. You don't want to be something you're not Joshua, I think you're fine just the way you are."
- Joshua is unsure of his future, but Yukiko reassures him that he will be fine.
Fasalina: "Now that I think about it we probably wouldn't make the best of friends."
Carmen: "Ah now that's a REAL shame..."
- Fasalina & Carmen continue their fight.
Nero: "Hey Van! This is no time for a nap you're all that's left! If you don't kill him this world is toast!"
Priscilla: "Van! Wake up! VAAAANNNN!"
- The El Dorado & Priscilla try to get Van to wake up after he is wounded by The Birthday System.
Michael: "Wendy, you may be right, but the path I chose was also right. I know are plans have failed but I still need to go my own way. And nothing should keep you from your path either. Here, I want you to have it."
Wendy: "Alright Michael."
Michael: "Kameo, take care of her."
Wendy: "Well... Goodbye! Michael..."
- Wendy and Michael part ways.
"Hmmm, don't you see? i have nothing for you but love..."
- The Claw's last words.
"I swear, you're so damn true to yourself, it makes me sick!"
- Carmen leaves Michael & Fasalina.
Kaiji: "The Ocean... I supreme. Ladies & gentlemen... and old timers, with faces that blue, the Ocean is never going to answer you!"
Priscilla: "Sorry but who are you exactly?"
Kaiji: "Captain Kaiji!"
Carmen: "Great! Right on time!"
Catherine: "Please! As if we'd allow some nutball to cram is loony ideas into our heads no thank you!"
Kaiji: "That just don't fly for Kaiji."
Carmen: "All right how about we get the hell outta here!"
- The heroes are rescued by Kaiji and Catherine.
Joshua: "I set Dann on a new orbital path for you. Gadved's depot had a vocal interface, right?"
Van: "Thanks, I owe you one."
Joshua: "Don't worry about it! I mean, we're friends aren't we?"
Van: "Don't get all mushy on me kid."
- Joshua says goodbye to Van
"I guess it wasn't meant to be right now. K Van! I guess I'll head back to Johanna and the kids for now. I'm going home, but i'll find you again. You still owe me an answer."
- Priscilla watches Van leave and promises to see him again one day.
Carmen: "Alright you guys I'm outta here! I've still got a fortune waiting to be made out there somewhere!"
Wendy: "Thank you for everything! Take care!"
Van: "She's right, Thanks for everything, Carmen."
Carmen: "?! Hahaha You know something Van?"
Van: "What?"
Carmen: "I've always had a thing for you I can't help it!"
Van: "Huh?!"
Carmen: "There I said it! K... see you later!"
- Carmen says goodbye to Van & Wendy.
"I mean he's the hero that saved the entire world isn't he? That's why I know I'll see him again!"
- Years later, Wendy tells a reporter about Van, and how she will see him again.
"Excuse me, you got any food or milk you can spare?"
- Van & Wendy are reunited again.

- The title of this episode, "Tuxedo Blowing in Tomorrow" is a reference to the first episode "Tuxedo Blowing in the Wind." - Perhaps has a book end to the story and Van's quest for revenge.
- Like the first episode, there is no opening credits, instead the opening narration is played over a flashback scene of The Claw attacking Van and Elena at their wedding.
- This episode is the only one to feature "GUNXSWORD" (starting again) as it's ending theme.
- There is no "next time" narration by Wendy as this is the final episode.
